Daily Decrees for Spiritual Warfare - Brenda Kunneman

DAY 4 OF 5

Censorship of the Gospel Interrupted

Declaration

We declare that the Word of God shall have the freedom in our society to be spoken and distributed without resistance, persecution, or censorship. We prophesy that the Word of the Lord and the Gospel shall not return void, but it shall accomplish everything it has been sent to do. We command all demonic operations that would rise to withstand the Word of God to be bound in the name of Jesus! We speak a breaking apart of the forces that would censor, cancel, ban, and delete the truth, and we say they are rendered ineffective. We say that God’s Word and the truth shall be promoted, shared, platformed, and it shall fill the airwaves! May the pulpits and people of this nation who are declaring and standing for truth be given their rightful place of prominence. We decree that all censoring and restriction against the truth shall be interrupted and halted in Jesus’ name!

Word of Encouragement

If there is one thing that we have learned in recent times is that the voice of truth and God’s Word has been censored and restricted online in a greater way than we had previously imagined. For the most part, citizens of the United States have enjoyed the liberty to worship freely, promote God’s Word, and live openly as believers. Then it became clear along the way that certain groups were determined to ensure that our messages of truth, whether it be God’s Word or truth regarding issues in society, were not going to be easily welcomed. Extensive measures were taken to prevent our messages from being shared. However, censorship of the Gospel and truth is nothing new. When Peter and John offered healing to the man at the Gate Beautiful, they were vehemently resisted and unjustly arrested for preaching the truth (see Acts 3–4). But the more governmental leaders attempted to silence them, the more bold and determined they became. Then we find through the rest of the Book of Acts that not only did the censorship against the early church fail, but the Word of God also grew mightily!

What we must remember in this current season of cancel culture, banning, and deleting is that truth will never be stopped no matter how hard some try. Like the early apostles, we need a greater boldness to keep using every means we have to spread the Gospel, speak the truth, and stand for what is right. We must also pray like the early church, who asked God to look upon their threats, clear the way for them through supernatural means, and grant them more boldness in their ability to take a stand (see Acts 4:29). When we call out to God, what they try to silence will be shouted on the housetops. What they have tried to censor shall be interrupted in Jesus’ name!
