AFTER A BUSY DAY

It had been another busy day for Jesus and his friends. They had been talking to crowds of people about God’s good news. The friends got into a boat ready to travel home, but what do you think Jesus wanted to do?

Read today’s Bible verses now, if you haven’t already done so, and imagine where Jesus was and where his friends were.

Have a go at asking yourself some of these questions. They might help you to think about the ways you pray.

• Do you pray with your eyes open? Or closed?
• Do you sit? Kneel? Stand? Walk about?
• Do you pray with other people? On your own?
• Do you pray indoors? Outside?
• Do you pray when you are happy? Sad? Worried? Whenever you like?

Jesus is happy for us to pray whenever and wherever we feel comfortable. Sometimes it is nice to find a quiet and special place to pray to God, just like Jesus did after his busy day.
