The Power Of Faith

As I embarked on the journey to master the art of catching green waves, my coach would consistently impart the same advice: “The foam is your friend.”

His words were profound as they urged me to tap into the strength in the pocket of the wave – a strength that would shoot me forward and help me catch the perfect ride.

However, there was a hurdle I had to overcome – the fear that gripped me each time the thundering roar of the wave’s pocket approached me. I knew I had to confront that fear and embrace the untamed power of the pocket, harnessing it to my advantage.

Because only then would I be able to effortlessly glide into waves.

In life, we’ve got to embrace the mighty force of faith. Take a cue from Luke 17:5–6 where the apostles straight-up asked the Lord to boost their faith game. They knew faith was the key to navigating trials and tribulations.

Their longing for an increased faith resonates with me; does it resonate with you? Don’t we all aspire to a faith so solid that it becomes our anchor in life, enabling us to rely on His power and provision every day in everything?

Faith is an active response to God’s promises.

Paddling out for a surf is a leap into the unknown. We can’t predict the number of rides or how the ocean might shift while we’re out there. Nevertheless, we paddle out, driven by a spark of faith, hoping that it could turn into the ultimate surf session and the kind that stays etched in our memory.

In daily life, faith is the force that compels us to relinquish control and place our unwavering trust in God, knowing that He will guide our path and help us navigate the mysteries that lie ahead. With faith as our compass, we stride forward into the unknown, secure in the belief that we are not alone, and that every step we take is supported by Him.

As we ride the waves of life, faith becomes our steadfast anchor, empowering us to conquer the turbulent waters of fear and doubt. With unwavering trust, we find solace in the knowledge that God is forever by our side, guiding us through the highs and lows of our journey.

Take a moment to reflect on your own faith journey. Are there aspects where you find it challenging to place complete faith in God? Do you see yourself in a similar position as the disciples, earnestly desiring a deeper faith and seeking the Lord to strengthen it?

Pray:

Heavenly Father, I humbly ask for an increase in my faith. Give me the strength to trust You wholeheartedly, especially when faced with trials and the unknown. May my growing faith help me navigate the unpredictable waves of life with unwavering confidence, secure in the knowledge that You are ever-present and guiding my every step.
