The 4 Living Creatures Series Part 4: The EagleSample
Vision
The eagle has an extremely sharp field of vision. They see things from miles away, and with this sight, they are able to take action. Eagles are characterized by their level of vigilance. Whether it is to locate their prey, or whether something is attacking its nest, the eagle is always on high alert. God gives us the gift of prophecy to equip us for the seasons of our lives. Through this method, we receive instructions on how to prepare for what is coming. Whether it is to prepare for a blessing or an attack, God gives us foresight if we are connected with Him.
Not only does the eagle see things from afar, but the eagle's perspective is from a totally different angle. The eagle is able to see “the bigger picture”. As believers, it is important to see the bigger picture in all that we do. Our actions will be more deliberate, and we will be more mindful of our words if we have the bigger picture in mind. We will consider how our words and actions affect the progression of the mission of the kingdom of God, either positively or negatively. We will learn to pick our battles as well. An eagle does not get entangled in every fight, even when it is seen from afar. They only engage when it is absolutely necessary. There are some arguments that are better left alone because it does not edify the global body of Christ in any way. Meaningful encounters with people bring about change. Today, make a decision that you will no longer be overtaken by trivial matters, but by the eyes of the Spirit, you will see from the heavenly perspective.
