Rhythm

DAY 4 OF 28

Go to church. Read the Bible. Pray. When we think about ways to spend time with God, these are often the things at the top of the list. While there are so many ways we can make space to connect with God, learning to pray regularly is one of the best places to start building your rhythm.

In today's reading, you'll see how Jesus taught his disciples to pray. He wanted to give them a clear model for what their own prayers could look like. So, he taught them how to pray for God's will, their daily needs, forgiveness, and protection. This model is actually a really simple way to begin building up your own prayer rhythm.

If you need help creating a rhythm of prayer, you can start by reciting these words each day or a few times a week. The great thing about prayer is it is so accessible. Whenever you feel like praying, you can simply stop what you're doing and say a few words of prayer to God. That's what makes prayer such a great starting point for building up a regular time for connection with God.

You can take a few moments to pray the words Jesus gave his disciples or talk with God in a different way. No matter what you choose to say, God is simply looking to make a connection with you to help you keep growing in your faith.

About this Plan

Rhythm

For the next four weeks, we'll take some time to explore how we can build rhythms that help us connect with God in new ways. We'll discover how to build a strong rhythm that can sustain us through whatever life brings our way. We'll look at how to create rhythms that help us spend time with God, use our gifts, share our stories, and spend time with others.
