Find Joy in the JourneySample
Day 1
I am the Lord’s servant, and I am willing to accept whatever He wants. (Luke 1:38, NLT)
Have you ever awakened and looked around and asked yourself where has joy gone? How did I arrive at this point in my life where I have misplaced or even lost my joy?
These are valid questions to ask when you find yourself experiencing life at a disadvantage.
I believe most of us spend hours searching for the one great key that will give us a mental or spiritual breakthrough concerning joy. We can easily get sidetracked by looking for the profound. The greatest treasures can be found in the simplest places hidden from our view because our gaze is focused on the grandiose. However, God’s patterns are quite different. He said, “I choose the foolishness” (1 Corinthians1:27 HCSB) “Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they’re wise and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong.”
He chooses simple, uncomplicated truths as vehicles of healing, deliverance, and peace. It’s important, my friends, that we don’t confuse simplicity with being void of intelligence. When we embrace the astonishing quality and care that God displays when His presence is made known in the daily mundane activities that we engage in, we uncover joy! Because He is with Us.
"And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Mathew 28:20 NLT)
"I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence!" (Psalm 139:7 NLT)
Friend, can I pray for you?
Heavenly Father, we pray today for Your sons and daughters to encounter Your Presence with them, working daily in them and beside them as they’re growing in their relationship with You. I pray that their faith would be made strong and their dependency on Your power would be increased. We agree together, according to Your word, that the work You started in them You will complete in Jesus' Name. Amen
