Just One Touch
Luke 8:43-48 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. “Who touched me?” Jesus asked. When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.” But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.” Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”
It only takes one encounter with Jesus to have everything change. I’ve had the seasons where I can hardly pick myself up off the floor. I know that if I can just touch Jesus; if I can just reach out to Him, I will be healed and set free. Jesus is so loving and so kind that He is willing to go out of His way to reach us. Our hearts are the prize He gave His life for and He will run to meet us right where we are. It’s ok if you feel like you are at the end of yourself. That is the perfect place to meet Jesus. You’re not too far away from Him, you’re not lost to Him, and you’re not out of reach for Him. Stir up your mustard seed-sized faith today to believe this could be your day; your moment of breakthrough. Trade in every scar, wound, offense, and weariness for the freedom He has for you.
