Being Whole: 21 Days to Overcoming Relational Traumaනියැදිය

BELIEFS:
Experiences overtime shape your belief system. Imagine the beliefs that have been shaped because of trauma. Beliefs are influenced by personal values, cultural and social factors. Your beliefs are your conviction that something is true or real. They rest in the center of your heart. We know what you believe by what you say. It is true, your mouth will reveal what’s in your heart (Luke 6:45). As we heal from trauma, our words will start to reflect our healed heart. This will require the heart to “believe” the word of God.
Here are some strategies for strengthening your belief in God:
- Engage in self-reflection: Take time to reflect on your beliefs and the barriers that may be preventing you from fully embracing faith. Consider any doubts or questions you may have, and seek answers through prayer, reading religious texts, or seeking guidance from religious leaders.
- Address emotional barriers: Emotional barriers such as past trauma, negative experiences with religious institutions, or fear of rejection can also hinder belief in God.
- Cultivate a personal relationship with God: This can be done through prayer, meditation, and spiritual practices can be a powerful way to overcome barriers to belief. Connect with God in a way that feels authentic and meaningful to you, and trust that through this relationship, you can find answers and guidance on your spiritual journey.
Questions to Ponder:
Why have you struggled to believe? Usually, deception is at the root of unbelief. Are you able to identify lies spoken to you, or that constantly invade your thoughts? What are they, and how will you guard your heart against lies moving forward?
