Leadership & Prayer: The Superpower for Executives

DAY 2 OF 5

Day 2: Prayer and Time. What Rules Your Day, Rules You.

Key Scripture: Ephesians 5:15-16 (NIV)

"Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil."

Okay, Leaders, let’s dive into this one: time management.

What's ruling your day?

Endless meetings?

Never-ending deadlines?

The constant pinging of emails?

If your calendar is your boss, Houston, you got a problem.

So, let me drop some ancient wisdom on you – meet Daniel, the Biblical executive.

This guy had a full plate; he was practically running the Babylonian empire.

But wait, there was something special about Daniel.

He prayed three times a day, no matter what.

To him, his appointments with God were more critical than any board meeting.

You seriously need to take a page out of Daniel’s playbook.

Prioritizing prayer is like saying, “Hey, God, I need you to lead my day.”

It’s giving the reins to the One who knows what’s best for YOU.

And when prayer rules your day, you can bet your bottom dollar that wisdom, peace, and divine guidance will rule you.

What’s that? Do you have a packed schedule?

We all do, friend. But it’s time to make time.

Your divine appointments await.

Look, I get it. I’m a Google Calendar guy who functions off his calendar.

But what happens when you allow something else besides the King of Kings to rule your day?

Plain and simple, He says to us, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”

The challenge for the day: Where can you bring more of the Lord into your day?

When will you make that happen?
