Missionary in YouSample
Welcome to Day 2 of our exciting Bible reading plan! Today, we're exploring the authority and power that God has given us as His children.
In Acts 1:8, Jesus tells His disciples that they will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon them, and they will be His witnesses. The same applies to us. God has given us authority, similar to a police officer who has been given authority by the government to enforce the law. We have the authority to use the name of Jesus!
Just imagine the incredible power that comes with this authority. Luke 10:19 says, "Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses], and nothing shall in any way harm you." Wow!
But before we go out and conquer the world, let's start at home. Acts 1:8 tells us that our mission begins in our own Jerusalem, which can be our family, friends, and immediate surroundings. Are we being excellent role models? Are we obedient to our parents? Are we praying for and forgiving those around us?
Remember, being faithful with the little you have now is the key to being entrusted with more. As Luke 16:10 says, "He who is faithful in a very little [thing] is faithful also in much." So let's start ministering at home and then extend our reach into the world!

About this Plan
Ask God to reveal where He wants to multiply through you. Where should you reach out: home, work, neighbors, in your city or state, or in a foreign country? God is faithful. He will direct you. This 6-day reading plan will help you understand the missionary life God has for you!
