So many of the immigration headlines we read are about the continual stream of people who are in need along our southern border.
The numbers can seem overwhelming, and so many of us wonder what we can or should do individually and as a nation. Jesus gives us an idea in today’s reading.
Thoughtful Questions
- In all three of these passages, what was Jesus’ first response when he saw the huge crowds of people?
- What was the disciples' response?
- What tends to be our first response when we see the caravans, crowds, and continual migration of people to our southern border?
- Remembering that we have access to Jesus, who provides all things, how might this change how we think and respond to those seeking provision in the U.S.?
