Which atmosphere rules you? The royal or the plebeian? The Kingdom of God is for kings. Paul says that in Christ, we will reign in life. Already, in Romans 8, he states that we no longer have the mentality of slaves, as Peter stated: we are kings and priests. The slave mentality makes up someone who is an orphan who sees himself as limited, incapable, unworthy, and even despicable.

Some people have everything and, at the same time, nothing. They are stingy and mean. For this reason, it was more difficult to remove Egypt from within the people of Israel than it was for the people of Egypt, whose slave (orphan) mentality lasted for 40 years. This is very sad and highly damaging. If we do not allow the King who dwells in us (once we have surrendered our lives to Him as our Lord and Savior) to transform our minds and inner feelings, we will never reign in life. I can even preach about the Kingdom, but to live it is another thing. What would it be in practice to reign in life? It is to abandon the mentality of scarcity, lack, and limitation and go to a new level of internal resolutions and external solutions. To reign in life is to reject the "ugly duckling" or mongrel syndrome. It is to understand your value to the Father and to live for His glory.

We are not allowed to live a small life, we have to move forward, and we can. It took the people of Israel decades to abandon their slave mentality to never bow down to smallness ─ this is so telling that to this day, they are one of the most prosperous peoples on earth. Whoever has the Son has the Father; whoever has the Father has everything. Live in the dimension of kingship and start with a change of mind. Remember: you are no longer a slave but a son!
