OUTCRY: God’s Heart For Your Churchනියැදිය

In OUTCRY our desire is to see an uprising of local churches influencing their neighborhood and city. Not being bogged down by unrealistic expectations of our church or it’s leaders. Not being distracted by the never-satisfied critique of others. We see an imperfect but beautiful church filled with diverse expressions of Jesus on every street. And there is beauty in the imperfect. 

Are there legitimate reasons to leave a church? Yes. And that is something between you and the Holy Spirit. 

However, if you find yourself planning on leaving on day-one, or hold it at arms-length in anticipation of a future church hop, pause and pray. Pray that God will open your eyes to see your church, not as you see it, but as he sees it. God may be speaking to you now about your expectations. Allow for the possibility that God may be bringing you to a season of commitment. To finding beauty through imperfections not despite them. 

The local church is worth it. It is a worthy and significant calling to give your whole life to. And we believe as more and more of us commit to what’s in front of us—to the local church God is calling us to—we will see a new chapter and movement of God unlike anything we have seen yet. The next big thing is here. It’s always been here. It’s your church! 

Prayer: Lord, help me to commit to what is in front of me. Not striving or longing for a perfect community, but committing to the one in front of me. Thank you for my church. Amen.
