SIN AND DEATH

God gave Adam and Eve one requirement—they were not to eat fruit from the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Like trusting children, they were to leave it to God to define good and evil for them, instead of taking that prerogative to themselves. Sadly, however, they were tempted by Satan in the form of a serpent and disobeyed eating fruit from the tree. Sin entered the world. And the fruit of sin was death. Man’s heart, originally good, had become corrupt.
