What Is Your Divine Assignment?

DAY 5 OF 6

Hey! Did you enjoy the reading about bulrush and straw? Or are you not really a plant-fanatic? I am not a plant-fanatic either actually, haha! But I did like the comparison! Today, I would like to focus more on the divine assignment for your life. We will do so by looking at the different roles in the story about the birth of Moses. There are 3: His mother, his sister and the daughter of Pharaoh.

Moses’ mom raised him and gave him all the love he deserved as a kid. Knowing that she had to give Moses away eventually, she probably taught him the most important life lessons. Plus, she was there during Moses’ most important years as a kid.

Moses’ sister had a serving role. She followed him along the riverbank and because of her clever move, Moses was able to be raised by his own mother. Moses’ sister was a true helper in this story!

The daughter of Pharaoh gives the opportunity for Moses to be raised by his own mother. By taking in Moses as her own, she gives the needed access to the Egyptian palace. Moses was able to get closer to his divine assignment because of this.

Lastly, there is Moses himself. Moses is the lead in his story. He is called to free a nation from slavery in Egypt. What a responsibility!

I don’t believe everybody on this earth is called to such a big assignment, like Moses had. That might sound a little dejecting, but it does not make your divine assignment less important! In fact, your role can be crucial to accomplish God’s work on earth! The Bible compares it with the human body. Similarly, the arm does not work without the brain or you can not taste without the ability to smell.

Without Moses’ mom, he would not have received important life lessons. Without his sister, Moses might have been at the mercy of the Nile. Without the Pharaoh’s daughter, he would not have gained access to the Egyptian palace, which led him closer to his divine assignment.

> How do you see your role in your own story 🎭? Do you have a plan for your life like Moses? Or do you have another crucial role?

Remember, your role can change. It is the beauty of living life together with God. God has something good planned for your life, and it is definite. But the road towards it is flexible.
