Face to Face With Jesus - a Lenten MeditationSample
Noah was a man who walked in habitual fellowship with God (AMP version). He was just and blameless in a time (much like today) when evil prevailed and wickedness held sway. God chose him out of a vast number of humans to be set apart, saved, and repopulate the earth after a flood of apocalyptic proportions. This was no ordinary call- it was downright absurd. imagine buildings a huge boat in the middle of a city in full view of people who had no concept of God. He was definitely exposed to mockery and ridicule by those around yet he stayed faithful to the God who had spoken to him. He obeyed every instruction to the last letter and he, along with his wife and sons’ families, is saved along with 2 pairs of every living creature. What an adventure! What a daring task for one man and his family to take on! Yet they did, and in exchange God makes Noah a promise that he will never again destroy the earth by a flood.
Like Noah, each of us has been created and called by God for a specific purpose on this earth. It depends on whether we are tuned into His frequency so that we can hear the call and respond to it in complete obedience just like Noah did.
Questions to ask yourself:
What has God spoken to you in recent times?
Have you been obedient to his instruction?
Will you make a conscious choice to walk in habitual fellowship with God?
