MISSION OF HONOR
WORD
How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news! - Romans 10:15b
THOUGHT
Few things have the capability to more instantly relieve feelings of discouragement than someone arriving with good news. Although everyone handles challenges and difficulties differently, receiving good news universally brings some level of joy to even the most negative situation. While receiving good news is a blessing, anyone who has had the experience of delivering good news will tell you what a joy it is to do so.
Christians are not only recipients of the good news, but we also have the most honored and glorious assignment in all the earth: we are privileged to take the good news to the broken, wounded, and disenfranchised. For every outcast and wanderer, for every person in despair or overcome by hopelessness, this news offers genuine and lasting hope. This is the gospel of Christ, and we have been granted the honor and joy of sharing it with the world—from the most remote rural village to our neighbors next door.
PRAYER - May your kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Father, you have given me freedom and great purpose for this life. I’m honored to be your messenger, to bring hope to the hopeless with the message of your great love, mercy, and grace. Let me be attentive to the leading of your Holy Spirit today, lead me to someone who’s waiting for your good news. Amen.
