Dearest Daughter: Motherly Advice for Moms Who Need MotheringSample
Day Five: When You Feel Rejected
Dearest Daughter,
Has someone rejected you or hurt you deeply? I want you to know the Lord is very near to you. “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed” Psalm 34:18. He promises in His Word to stay close to you, and remember, dear one, Jesus always keeps His promises.
When you feel rejected, remember Jesus felt rejected too. “He was despised and rejected— a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief” Isaiah 53:3.
Jesus knows how to lead you through this. Go to Him and ask for wisdom on how to soar during this season instead of feeling rejected and alone. Spend time with Jesus and let Him fill you up as no other earthly love can. And remember, always do what He tells you to do. You will become stronger and more confident as you make wise decisions; Jesus has the wisdom you need right now to walk forward through this trial. He will help you.
Pray with me…
Lord Jesus, I know you love me like no one else. With You, I am always accepted, never rejected. You see me, deeply care about me, and You are with me right now. Help me to feel Your presence and Your love. Fill me with great hope. Fill me with Your Spirit. Give me help and wisdom for everything I am going through, and also, Your joy, even amid my pain. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
I am praying for you right now.
Love,
Mama Deb (your second mom)
