Out of Darkness

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light” ‭(‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:9,‬ ‭KJV).‬‬

You are chosen. You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a Holy nation—a peculiar people. You are set aside for His Glory, Honor, and Delight. God delights in you—for you are His.

For our God has called you out of darkness into His Marvelous Light. He has set you on high and He wants to display you for the world to see. For you are His Own. You are His child.

The Amplified Version puts it this way: “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God's] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:9‬, ‭AMPC‬‬).

You are a dedicated nation. God purchased you and has established you as His Own. By His Grace has God called you out of the darkness. It’s time to step into His marvelous Light. For by Grace are you saved, set free, and delivered. Choose to be free. Choose Christ.
