Listening to God

It is so important to make a lifestyle of listening to God. A lot of people think listening to God means a quick prayer in the morning, stating, Here I am, God. Speak. If you want to talk to me, you know my number. Yet your line is constantly a busy signal. God is always speaking, but we’re not always listening. If we’re going to overcome in life, it is important that we listen to God and do exactly what he’s asking us to do. The Lord tries to speak to us in many, many ways, but when we’re consumed with the things of the world and we’re constantly distracted and busy, we can’t hear his voice above the noise. Your day is going to be flooded with opinions, topics, mindsets, worldly wisdom, and fleeting lusts. Make a choice to focus on the Lord and listen intentionally to him. Make room in your life, drown out all the other voices, and pay close attention to what he is saying to you today.
