Spirit, Soul & Body Part 3Sample
Introduction
In the first Spirit, Soul & Body reading plan, attention is placed on grasping the three components of our being, how each makes up the whole and expressing the new life we receive in Jesus Christ through his finished work.
In this plan, we jump into the whole idea of God’s faith and unpack the scripture to see how the mindset of trying to get more faith is so wrong. Amazingly and astoundingly, we already have the same measure of faith that Jesus has.
We’ve established previously that there are characteristics, personality, and natural and visual differences that make each person unique, and yet, the fundamentals of every person are the same:
You and I have a Body - in which we are physically present and feel physically;
You and I have a Soul - which is not visible to sight but in which is our perception, intellect, and faculties of conscience and emotion;
You and I have a Spirit - our innermost being, the deepest depth of the person - the very life in us.
How do we bring alignment to this?
You don’t need to have completed part 1 before journeying with part 3. However, part 1 does inform the direction of all Spirit, Soul & Body reading plans.
Reflection
Consider for a few moments what God is drawing to your attention through these scriptures. Pay attention to what is eternally true and the perspective it brings to your life, the future as well as your present.
Introspection
In Christ, we are not at the point of despair. We are beyond the death we should have paid since he paid it for us. The old ‘me’ could never make me right with God - none of us could do it by ourselves - and this amplified the sense of feeling helpless to enjoy being right with God, with self, and with the world. The New that Jesus introduced carries an eternal change, making us right with God. God believes in the finished work of the cross! God believes in His work in you. Have you ever considered this? There is no need to perform for him. There is no need to pay him. All that is required is to receive his gift of love and faith for yourself.
Your Next Step
You are eternally set up to enjoy and know and live from God’s never-ending love. Take some time to pray into this.
Invite God to speak and affirm who you are in spirit, soul, and body.
What are the opportunities you have to introduce right-standing with God?
About this Plan

It will stretch, challenge, and grow you as his follower. Make sure to allow the Holy Spirit space to work in you and shape you. See the impact for yourself.
