Moments for Mums: Nourishment - Part 1Sample
There’s a saying when it comes to parenting toddlers: the years are short, but the days are long. Although parenting small children is filled with much joy and fun, it’s also tiring! The seemingly endless sleepless nights, tantrums and potty training can make anyone feel weary.
Jeremiah 31:25 was given to Israel when they were in exile, promising God’s restoration and refreshment. And it’s also true in the details of life that God provides us with strength and hope to persevere.
God sees all that you do. The thankless, gross, and patience testing work of motherhood. When we are weary, he is there for us, to encourage and sustain us. He has placed that precious friend in your life that you can unload to after a tough day. The neighbour who watches the baby so you can finally shower. The homecooked meals that arrive when you need them most. God is in all those things.
Question
How have you felt provided for when you are weary?
Prayer
God thank you for the ways you help and sustain me when I am weary.
Scripture
