Revival

DAY 5 OF 7

We live in a world that often actively seeks to shut down the calling of God in our lives.

Sadly, we can even experience this in our churches. Jealousy, comparison, gossip, and falsehood can be catalysts of much strife in our lives; however, it is very reassuring to know that Jesus experienced all of these things during His time on Earth. People from His hometown did not believe Him, Pharisees and Sadducees (so-called ‘spiritual’ leaders) argued against Him and plotted His death, and others rejected His teachings and lied about Him. Jesus experienced a lot of opposition, but despite this, He rested in the knowledge that His Father was working out a plan that would see Him vindicated and used powerfully to enact a breathtaking victory in the presence of His enemies.

In the end, the ultimate enemy was defeated and the church was birthed. This is why we can press on confidently in our lives despite the accusation or false news that is spread about us. At the end of the day, God will vindicate us, He will stand up and defend us and He will show our enemies that He is working all things together for our good.

Opposition has a way of dampening our spirits, discouraging us, and tempting us to give up and abandon the call of God in our lives. Whatever position you find yourself in today, let the assurance that God will vindicate you, settle and take root into your heart. Dust yourself off and keep going. No weapon formed against you will prosper and every voice raised up against you will be silenced. This is your inheritance.

Prayer:

Dear Jesus,

You are my vindicator. I know You will stand up for me. I know You will fight for me because the battle is Yours. Today I ask for Your strength and power to keep going, to keep believing, and to dust off the negative words and attitudes towards me. Help me keep my focus on You and the prize. I know the plans You have for me are good and I trust in You.  Amen.

About this Plan

Revival

Jesus came to revive us. We were dead in our sins and needed to be revived. Revival means to be restored back to life and that’s exactly what Jesus did when He died on the cross and rose again. His death brought us back to life! Jesus came to give us ‘life and life to the full’ so His revival power can touch any area of our lives!
