There is Nothing Holding You Down

Imagine this scene: Jesus is swinging you around, playful and exuberant. Laughing and happy. Full of smiles and energy. He plays tag with you, the two of you running in a field. He holds nothing in his hands, his arms swinging freely, his arms pumping at his sides. He is laughing, running with you. Tapping you on the shoulder and surprising you with his laughter and delight in you. 

You turn and think He isn’t there, but He is right there. This is what He reveals: There is laughter in you. There is energy and hope in you. There is a spirit of lightness and adventure in you. You do not need to be afraid or sad that you don’t have this spirit within you; you are made to commune with Jesus. He loves what you love—what makes you laugh and feel content and free. 

And this is what we heard Him say: “I come to remind you there is nothing holding you down now. No worry about anything I can’t help you with, no fear I can’t take away. You are delighted in, with light on your face and many good things ahead. I am with you now, smiling and laughing and dancing and running and loving each moment with you. I never tire of you. I am never disappointed in you. I have much more for you that I want you to see. Look at Me. Look into my eyes. Run freely with Me. There is more for you. I do not wish you were different. Whom I see you to be, whom I have crafted you to be, is perfect. Ask Me to show you who you are. Not just tell you, but show you. Connect with Me in that deep place within you. This is what you carry in you now. 

“The spirit within you is created to be free, free from worry, free from fear. I tell you this not to condemn you but to tell you there is more for you, and I am going to show you what it means to truly live the way you are intended to live.”

Can you picture this scene? Can you hear him speaking to you now? What more is He showing you? What more does He have to say to you now?
