Encashing Opportunities

DAY 7 OF 7

Opportunity – At What Cost?

Today, the goal of the majority of employees is to earn more money at any cost. Judas sought an opportunity to deliver Jesus into the hands of the chief priests, for which they were willing to pay him. His love of money blinded his love of Jesus.

In my career, I went through many situations where my colleagues and managers tried to pull me down so that they could get the glory and the credit for the work that I did. True, these were difficult times, but I had faith that God was watching everything. I tried to work enthusiastically as if such a thing did not happen since the Bible tells us to work as though we were working for the Lord rather than for people. (Col 3:22-24)

If you have been a victim of such betrayals, do not forget that our God is a God of justice. The God, who considers your work, will reward you. "I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you. You have little strength, yet you obeyed My Word and did not deny Me." (Rev 3:8, NLT)

When a situation presents itself to us to crush others so that we may come up, let's fix our eyes on Jesus who is our model. Jesus taught, "whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave." (Mt 20:25-27)

What about us? Are we looking for opportunities to show that we are the best by crushing or ridiculing our team members or our colleagues or even our managers? Are we trying to earn more money by any means possible?

Opportunity is very good until you crush others to get it. Let us remember the golden rule: "Do to others what you would have them to do to you." (Mt 7:12)

Father, help me not to seek opportunities by betraying others, but to wait for Your time and Your will. Amen

Day 6

About this Plan

Encashing Opportunities

This Bible Plan will teach us to be attentive to small things that can teach us beautiful truths – people around us going through difficulties, the causes of our failures, a bad boss, etc. Opportunities that can be encashed without crushing others are blessed by the Lord. If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door!
