When Troubles Come
1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
Filled with frustration, Jeremiah brought a long list of complaints on how he tried his best to warn God’s people to turn back to God but nobody paid attention. God gave an illustration that if Jeremiah was defeated in a race with men, he would not be able to compete against horses. God was implying that Jeremiah was going to face even greater challenges in the future. God was preparing Jeremiah to be ready and strong to face the future.
Just like Jeremiah, we can always come to God and bring our struggles, our burden, and our anxiety to Him. God will always answer our prayers. Ultimately, He wants His children to be strong in Him. God is training us in this life so that we can grow stronger in faith and He is teaching us to become wiser.
Let us daily come to God in prayer.
Prayer
Dear God, I walk my days by faith and not by sight. All my troubles are nothing compared to Your power and love. Amen.
