Fervent: Fight Fear With Faith නියැදිය

When we look at Jesus, we see a higher calling and deeper purpose to our suffering. When Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane, He prayed for what His Father wanted. Yet, how could God want His Son to be hung on a cross and die a terrible death? We know the answer – because He had the salvation of the entire world in mind. Yet the answer is filled with mystery – salvation through terrible suffering. Though it may stretch our faith, we need to see that despite the suffering, God knew there would be glory; for Jesus, it was resurrection and ascension; for us, an incomparable glory that will be revealed in us. One thing we should learn to accept is that God works through paradoxes. So today, despite the sorrow and pain we might be experiencing right now, let us rest in the assured promise of glory.
Pray for:
• A revelation of God’s purposes in our present sufferings.
• A calm assurance and trust that God is fully in control.
• The comfort we have received to be apparent in our daily behavior – may we share this comfort with others.
