Love Remains Holy WeekSample
Hematidrosis: a rare medical condition caused by extreme distress or fear that causes you to ooze blood from your skin when you're not cut or injured. Hours before Jesus would be crucified, we get a glimpse of such distress—knowing the physical pain that was coming, the weight of taking on the sins of the world, and the emotional pain of being separated from God caused him to sweat blood.
Yet love.
Jesus didn’t give in to the fear. He didn’t run away from the task before him. Instead, he endured the night. And to what end? Love. His love for God and God’s love for you was so strong, Jesus endured so love could be fulfilled.
Read Luke 22:39-45 again, and ask what is God saying to you in this season?
