Habits in High SchoolSample
Written by Cherish, age 17, from Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
As a high school student, people, especially adults, are always asking you questions. What are your interests? What sports do you compete in? What clubs are you involved in? Are you going to college? If so, where? So. Many. Questions. To be completely honest, most of the time we don’t know. It’s not like when you come into this world the doctor gives you a life plan. There is no set route. There is not a Google Maps for life decisions. It can be extremely frustrating. The good thing about God is that He does not expect us to know all the answers. He gives us a plan. The Bible is His map to us. It gives us the answers to questions that we could never process.
Now imagine, you are going on a road trip across the country all by yourself and purposely leave any source of direction at home. This sounds silly, right? This is us without the Bible-traveling the world alone and without direction. God does not want you to be alone or lost. While the Bible may not specifically answer all of the details, it does give us guidance on how to ask God and get wisdom from others before making these decisions. Reading and following His instructions helps us connect with God and leads to a fuller life.
