Game Changer (Week 1)Sample
READ:
‘Noah’s Ark’ in Genesis 6-9
Noah released one of the doves to see if there was any dry land. The dove flew and flew but had to come back because there was no dry land, nothing to perch on, nothing to eat. Noah did not give up hope.
A week later Noah sent the dove out again and when it came back it had an Ooive leaf in its mouth. It had found dry land and food! God had kept His promise to Noah and provided a new world for Noah and his family.
Sometimes when we have been praying for something but we have not seen God answer our prayers, it can feel a bit disappointing. But we have HOPE!
Noah never gave up hope because he knew that God keeps His promises. We can have hope too!
ASK:
Is there something you have been praying for a long time? Never give up hope!
Ask your grownup to find this scripture and read it to you:
Romans 5:5 NLT And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
How can you remember to never give up hope?
Maybe you can copy this scripture and put it somewhere you and your family can see it every day?
REMEMBER:
Psalm 9:1
I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
SAY:
My God is good,
He is awesome and great.
He helps me be strong,
Even when I’m afraid.
I will say thank you,
For all He has done.
For me and my people,
He loves everyone.
About this Plan
Through scripture and well-known bible stories we’ll explore how "Everything is a Gift" is about having an attitude of gratitude. We pray that children will grasp that God loves a grateful heart and that we have so much that we can be grateful for.
