Increase Your PeaceSample
Peace When I’m Restless
“I have too much to do!” Wake up. Eat breakfast on the way to school. After-school practice (sports, drama, dance, music—you name it). Dinner. Homework. YouTube. Video chat with a friend. “Oh no! It’s time for bed and I forgot to spend even a hot second with God today.” Ugh.
How can anyone find peace when there’s just so much to do all the time? It can feel like there’s just too much to do each day. Too many boxes to check. And it crowds out your quality time just learning from your Bible, journaling, praying, and just generally spending some time with God.
Guess what. You’re not the first person to have felt this way. Not even close. Watch this video from Alison, a friend of The Loop Show. She has a story of two sisters from the Bible that might help you.
It’s time to pray. Time to sit like Mary and listen for a minute. Time to bring your worries to God.
Ask yourself: What is something I want to bring to God right now?
Challenge yourself: Copy the prayer below on a piece of paper. Fill in the blank with your answer from the “Ask yourself” question above.
Pray: When I am __________, God, increase Your peace. Blanket me in peace and give me rest. Heal me to send me. Amen.
