Questions 

There are LOTS of different kinds of questions. There are boring questions like “What’s your state’s flower?” Then there are funny questions like “What’s a snowman's favorite cereal?” (Frosted Flakes) There are also BIG questions like “How was the world formed?” or “Who created God?” 

Questions are a great way to learn more about God. Jesus tells us to ask questions. Why? Because if we ask questions, we will find Him. This is what Jesus is telling us in Matthew 7:7-8. Jesus said, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find.” This should encourage us to ask lots of questions about God so we can learn more about Him.

Imagine you just received a gift card with 7,800 V-Bucks for your favorite video game, “Fortnite,” but you had no idea how to use it. Would you just toss the gift card in the trash, or would you ask someone how to use it? You could seek out the answer by asking someone!

In this week’s episode of “Out Of The Shadows,” Leo and Tank had lots of questions for Arina, like who she was and where she came from. Check out this clip to hear their questions and how Arina responds.

Did you notice that Arina was GLAD they were asking her those questions? She wanted them to learn more about her! God is the same way—He is ALWAYS glad when we ask questions so we can learn more about Him! 

Ask Yourself: Have you ever been confused about God? What are some questions you have about him?

Challenge Yourself: Give God praise for His creation. Like Leo and Tank, if you have questions about God, ask! Ask a parent, pastor, small group leader, or friend to help you. You can also open your Bible and read it, or pray and ask God to help you find the answers. 

Pray: God, thank You for putting people in my life who can help me learn more about You, and thank You for Your Word, the Bible, that helps us answer big questions. In Jesus’s name, amen.
