Getting Ready-21 Days of PrayerSample

Something that I love to see as a mom of two kids is when they are speaking life into each other. When they are encouraging the other in their school work or their extra curricular activities. Who doesn’t love someone cheering for them and giving them a little extra boost in the moment?

 As believers, we are instructed to spur one another in love and through encouragement. When one of my kids gets encouraged, it makes them want to return the favor another time. By means of loving another, we become stimulated to love in return.  A value that our church clings to is this- “We speak life into everyone we meet because we believe that one word of encouragement can change the course of somebody’s destiny.” Let us go and spur one another on toward love and good deeds so that we can share the love of Christ to those we meet. 

Challenge: Find someone today that you can encourage. How did it make you feel? How do you think it made them feel? 

Prayer Prompt: Help me to have eyes to see and ears to hear those around me who need encouragement today. God give me the aligning words and actions to be your light in the world. Amen.
