What Can You Do?Sample
Sometimes when we serve other people, our actions are planned far in advance, like serving weekly at church or donating some of your clothing once every month. However, serving doesn’t always have to be planned out. Sometimes, we are able to serve others just by being kind to them throughout the day and at random points in the day. This could look like picking up trash that someone dropped and throwing it away for them, opening the door for someone if you see them struggling with a handful of items, or even just smiling or listening to a friend who is having a bad day.
Doing good to others and serving those who are in need is something we are all able to do anytime we see a need in front of us. We might not even expect to find someone who has a need that we can serve, but sometimes the random times are the best times to serve those around us. When we serve others, it is pleasing to God, whether it was planned in advance or not.
Challenge: We challenge you to do one random act of kindness sometime throughout your day today. Look for ways that you can serve people around you and do it randomly, whenever you see a need that you can fill.

About this Plan
You may look at the problems around you and wonder, "What can I do?" Jesus calls us to see a need and meet that need. We are to serve others. Over the next 10 days, we'll take a look at what it means to serve and what that looks like.
