30 Day Challenge: A Walk Through ProverbsSample
Day Nine
Read Proverbs 9
This passage of Proverbs compares the way of wisdom and the way of folly. Wisdom starts with fear of the LORD, but this isn’t a fear like when someone is afraid of the dark, it is a reverence and awe of God. When we acknowledge how good and how great He is, we can understand His wisdom. Folly is like foolishness—if we don’t listen to God’s instructions, we can easily be swayed by the world.
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight” (verse 10).

About this Plan
Oftentimes life looks like an open road and we aren’t sure which way it will turn. Other times, we feel like we are in control of where we are heading—no need to stop for directions. As believers, we must make sure that our GPS is programmed to the Word. God is our ultimate guide through the journey; He is the Creator of the road itself.
