Real Hope: Overcoming Stress and AnxietySample
Rainbow After the Storm
Recently, we had a few days where it was just dark and stormy. But then there was a break in the clouds, the sun burst through, and the most magnificent rainbow appeared! You realize the storm has passed and it’s a new day. I don’t know about you, but have you ever seen a storm stick around forever? It can feel like the storm may last forever, but we can always take hope in the fact, that no matter how bad things get, the storm will pass.
We all go through various storms of life. But what can we do when heartache comes knocking on our door and we feel overcome by despair or perhaps bound by a feeling of hopelessness? We start by realizing that God is good. That He has a plan, and His plan is greater than our feelings. And His intention is bigger than any storm.
Isaiah 41:10 tells us that not only is God with us, but He will help us and lead us through the storm. God led His people through those challenges in centuries gone by, and He will continue to do so today. He will get you through your storm and land you safely beyond it. With Him, we will have the strength to weather the storms of life. Call out to Him and trust Him. There is a rainbow of hope after every storm, reminding us that our God is a covenant-keeping God.
… He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands (Deuteronomy 7:9 NLT).
