SE Students - Be the Branch - Part 2Sample
Every December a strange thing that happens in malls across the country. Boys and girls have a conversation with a dude pretending to be Santa about what things they want for Christmas. Having the ability to ask for what we want and actually getting it seems way too good to be true, and yet that’s what they believe.
Jesus seemed to open this possibility in verse 7 when He said, “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything and it will be granted.”
Say what now? Is Jesus really saying we can get anything that we ask from Him?
The key to understanding what Jesus grants us comes from our connection to Him. When we are in a connected daily relationship with Jesus and allow His words to be our truth, then what we want is going to align with what He wants. Once that is a reality, we can go boldly to Jesus in prayer, asking for what we need.
How can you align your prayers with what matters to Jesus?
