The 4 Câs of Hiring â Competence
This week Iâve been teaching on the 4 Câs of Hiring. After youâve investigated someoneâs character and discovered whether or not theyâre called and passionate about your mission, then itâs important to select the most competent.
Competence is third on my list because many skills can be taught if they have strong character and passion. Nevertheless, finding and hiring the person with the most God-given skills for the job will increase your companyâs performance and, ultimately, customer appreciation.
Proverbs 22:29 teaches, âDo you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank.â
Although a resume of someoneâs skills and work history is a good starting point, consider developing tests or brief work projects to determine someoneâs true level of skill and competence.
