The Gift in You

DAY 5 OF 5

Your Story for Greater Glory

God is the author of history and He is carrying out His plan in the earth through history. HE is Sovereign over His creation and "His Story" in the earth. He works in significant and, seemingly, insignificant events to accomplish His purposes for you. He is consistently unfolding His story throughout each life that He created.

You are a unique part of His larger story. No one can tell your story for the greater glory like you. When it comes to sharing Jesus with the world there are simply some things that ONLY you can do. Not your pastor. Not your mother. There is no one coming behind you to do the work that ONLY you can do. You are a gift. Others can’t say it like you or do it like you. No one else can tell your story or share about what Jesus has done FOR YOU, like you. Your story of redemption can minister to others as a gift, wrapped in you. This is significant work! You! Nothing you ever do through the indwelling power of Christ is ever insignificant.

Everyone reckons with their past. Most have times of heartbreak and celebration—the “peaks and the pits”, so to speak. As we review the timeline of our lives, we can see rich and valuable lessons that add color to our story. Christians can take courage that He is working everything for our good even IN the most difficult life situations Ephesians 2:10 tells us that we were created as His handiwork (masterpiece) and assigned good works that were prepared FOR US! Your story, your uniqueness and individuality are all a gift! Don’t miss this. Don’t let the enemy rob you of this truth. You are one-of-a-kind and signed with a thumbprint all your own and a story all your own.

Instead of living in a small story of our own lives, we have the opportunity to see our story as a contributing part of the “Greater Story.” We are a significant part of the whole, a needed part of the full Body of Christ. Virtually all our communication with others and even over media is superficial because we don't deal with the most important aspects of any subject, namely, our connections with God and His purposes. After God’s redemptive work to heal our pasts, we stand on the testimony of His faithfulness to restore. The new conversation of telling our redemptive stories is our gift of loving God and loving others—our purpose.

God is always at work. Would you join Him by allowing Him to bring forth His purposes and plans through the significance of your life? What a privilege it is for us. What a gift to give! The gift in you! Your story for His greater glory.

Ponder

How am I living in His larger story versus my self-centered smaller story? Do I realize the significance of the gift inside of me to do only the work assigned for me to do?

Prayer

Lord, I want to join into Your purposes for the gift of my life. Help me walk in Your redemptive ways so that I can love others as You have loved me. I yield to Your work in my story for Your glory!

Day 4

About this Plan

The Gift in You

Each of us were created by an intentional Creator. We are each “gifted by design” for such a time as this. Do we understand and carry the privilege of this destiny? Are we sharing our story for His greater glory? The world needs the YOU that you were created to be as you are His gift to this world! Step in to this truth.
