When God Orders Your Steps: How to Get a Grip on Your Time

DAY 4 OF 4

KEEP YOUR APPOINTMENT

God is able to order our day when we put Him first. Think of it as an appointment with Him. Now, when you make an appointment with your dentist or hair dresser, you move other things out of the way to get there -- you don’t let anything else take that time, right?

What if you did that with your daily God appointment? You can be sure that He’ll meet you there and help set the tone for a supernatural day. When you keep your daily appointment with Him – staying connected to the power source – you’ll get to know Him on a deeper level. The quality time you spend with Him will not only order your day, but will strengthen your relationship with Him.

I encourage you to make an appointment with God every day – and keep it. Let’s activate the power of God’s Word in your life right now by reading these verses and speaking these declarations out loud:

DECLARE: “God is willing to spend all the time in the world with me. He knows I’ll be better off from having done it. He’s given me an open invitation to spend time in His presence. To read His Word, talk with Him and listen to Him; to get His wisdom and perspective on problems, to refuel, reboot, and renew my soul.”

DECLARE: “I will keep my appointment with God and spend daily devotional time with Him. It’s how I’ll get to know Him better, walking in that close intimacy that He wants and I crave. I’ll do whatever I can to carve out this wonderful, personal time with God. It’s not a duty – it’s a joy.”
