All In

DAY 11 OF 31

You and I live in a culture of endless messages. They come to our eyes, ears, and minds at a speed no former generation could comprehend. They also come at us from high-speed devices in our hands, pockets, and everywhere we look, listen, and turn. There’s not really even enough time to process before the next wave covers all five of our senses. This is why we have to be careful not to be distracted from that which matters most.

Paul writes in Ephesians 2:1-2, "And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience."

This is why we must decide whether we are all in or not. Because our enemy is all in, operating without mercy, and will do anything to keep you from a growing and thriving relationship with Christ. Remember, he does not play fair and has no limits of depravity to keep you from the divine disciplines.

This devotional focuses on the priorities of an all in believer out of Acts 2:41-47, so that you can see the kind of access you have to our Heavenly Father. But know this! The devil hates God, and he hates you. And worse still, he has had billions of people and thousands of years to practice his craft of distraction.

His ability and capacity to distract are beyond belief!

So how did this first group of believers in Acts 2 have so much spiritual victory? Through an all in devotion to Jesus and all out refusal to fall prey to the schemes of the enemy. You and I must win the same fight.

Read Ephesians 6. These are just some of the weapons we must know, understand, and use to win.

In Jesus’ name, this year will not be  one of spiritual laziness for you, but the year for all in, spirit-filled, fire for you. How far are you willing to go? Will you continue these priorities, this devotional, and all of this in pursuit of the Lamb who was willing to lay down everything to rescue you? The believers in Acts 2 were all in. And we can do no less.

About this Plan

All In

"All In" comes from Acts 2:42-47, where the Holy Spirit fell on Jesus's disciples and transformed the hearts and lives of everyone present on the Day of Pentecost. Over the next month, these devotions and verses by Faith Promise pastors and staff will lay out God’s plan to mobilize us to bring about the next great move of God.
