Fear Busters (Week 3) Sample
Day Three - Jesus died for me
Hello Mini FearBusters! How are you all doing? How is remembering your memory verse going?
Today we are learning that Jesus died for ME! That’s right, Jesus died just for you! That’s how much God loves you - isn’t that amazing?
READ:
‘Jesus is Arrested and Crucified’ in the Beginner’s Bible (Pages Page 446-452) or in Luke 23:13-49. When Jesus was praying in the garden he said to God - ‘Father, if it is your will, I am ready to give my life so that all the people who trust in me will be saved from their sins’. (Remember sins are the bad things we do, we all have sin in our lives, but it's ok, because Jesus has made a way for us to be saved from them).
Jesus gave His life so that we could be forgiven or saved from our sins - this means that we have been forgiven for all of the bad things that we have ever done or will do. The soldiers nailed Jesus to the cross at a place called Golgotha. Everyone who loved Jesus was very sad when Jesus died on the cross but they forgot His promise - He was going to come back soon!
Jesus died for you, so that you could be forgiven for all the bad things that you have done or will ever do! Jesus wants to be your friend and help you walk and talk with God.
ASK:
Do you walk and talk with God? If you would like to ask Jesus to be your friend you can say a simple prayer like this….
"Jesus, I am sorry for all of the things I have done wrong. I know that you died and then came back to life to take away all of my sin. I know you created me, you love me, and you have a plan for me. Would you come into my life and teach me to follow you? Amen"
REMEMBER:
“Don’t be afraid. I know that you are looking for Jesus, the one who was killed on the cross. But he is not here. He has risen from death as he said he would. " (Matthew 28:5-6 ICB)
SAY - FEARBUSTER PRAYER:
You are bigger than my fears. You wipe away my tears. I have a voice to pray, you teach me what to say. I am brave because of you! This sickness just won't do, we tell it now to QUIT. We've had enough of it!
