Love God Greatly: RisenSample
The resurrection changed everything, and the power of sin is no exception. Our sin is a constant reminder of death (Romans 6:23) and the temporal nature of our life on earth. Sin has power through the law, which has been written on every human heart, allowing us to understand right and wrong (Romans 2:15). But because of Christ and His resurrection, we have victory over sin and death.
The resurrection changed how we view sin and death. As believers, sin should be a reminder of the victory we have in Christ. Christ does not condemn us when we sin (Romans 8:1). As we live in light of the truth that we have victory over death, we can continue to be faithful in our labor for the Lord. We can continue, standing firm in the victory we have over sin and death because of the resurrection.
Lord Jesus, I praise You for Your work of redemption. You have changed my life by giving me hope in eternity with You and victory over sin in my life. Your power has given me life. Help me to stand firm in this truth today. Amen.
