Day 5: I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas 

 I AM THEY - “White Christmas”

In certain versions of the Bible, the word ‘white’ can be found 75 times. It’s mentioned more than any other color in the Bible. It is used to represent redemption, purity, and God’s victory over sin. In Isaiah 1:18, it talks about how we’re washed ‘white as snow’ as we’re redeemed from sin. 

How many times have you worn a white shirt only to get something spilled on it? When you envision being covered in all white, it’s easy to be nervous about making a mistake that will require lots of cleaning and purifying - basically putting in time and work to get back to being clean again, and we wonder, ‘Will that white shirt ever be as white as it was at the beginning?’ 

The same can be true for our lives - we believe we’re washed clean from our sins when we become Christian, but then we mess up and sin again and it feels impossible to get back to where we were at the start. Here’s the good news - it’s already happened. We’re washed clean. All we have to do is give the snow globe a ‘good shake’ like I AM THEY says at the beginning. All we have to do is believe that Jesus came to redeem us, and we’re clean again with no trace of that sin or stain to be found. That’s worth celebrating this season!
