A New Normalනියැදිය

Day 17
In Acts 17, Paul travels through Greece. On route, Paul realises that the people of Athens idolise statues so he adds God into the equation by preaching about an “unknown God”. Paul mentions that the God who created the heavens and earth, could not be confined to lifeless statues made by man. What man made things would Paul say our culture idolises today? Could the statues of today be things like; instant gratification, financial abundance, extreme comfort, constant connection, bespoke convenience, endless entertainment, to name a few?
Paul brought “a new teaching” to Athens: the life we long for comes from the Creator, not the created. Our lifeless man-made statues fight for our priorities and become guiding forces in our lives, over-promising and under-delivering on satisfaction and fulfillment. The New Normal is following Jesus as first priority and finding life that fulfills and overflows.

The "New Normal" 28 day bible plan will take you through the book of Acts, reading 1 Chapter each day. The original New Normal started with a few young people who devoted themselves to the word of God. That movement ended up being the start of the global Church. Imagine what might happen if a few more young people did same, some 2000 years later...
