Now Faith Is the SubstanceSample
Faith Without Works Is Dead.
“Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.” James 2:17-18 KJV
Faith is the foundation of every aspect of your life. 2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV declares, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” Walk by faith. Build by faith. Lead by faith. Faith is the substructure of your family’s future. Faith, reliance, trust and confidence in God is only the starting point.
Faith without obedience is dead. James 2:17-18 AMPC declares, “So also faith, if it does not have works (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up), by itself is destitute of power (inoperative, dead). But someone will say [to you then], You [say you] have faith, and I have [good] works. Now you show me your [alleged] faith apart from any [good] works [if you can], and I by [good] works [of obedience] will show you my faith.”
Faith without obedience is inactive, null, void and stagnant. James 2:20 AMPC declares, “Are you willing to be shown [proof], you foolish (unproductive, spiritually deficient) fellow, that faith apart from [good] works is inactive and ineffective and worthless?” Let your faith prove productive, operative and mature through your faithful and diligent obedience. Obey God. Surrender to Him in every area of your life.
James 2:21-22 AMPC declares, “Was not our forefather Abraham [shown to be] justified (made acceptable to God) by [his] works when he brought to the altar as an offering his [own] son Isaac? You see that [his] faith was cooperating with his works, and [his] faith was completed and reached its supreme expression [when he implemented it] by [good] works.” Let your faith cooperate with your works. Let your faith develop and be matured by your works.
Step forward into God’s Promises. Move forward. Do what God has Called you to do. Be what God has Called you to be. Stagger not at the Promises of God. When the winds and waves of life vehemently crash against your ship — choose to trust Christ. Trust His Word. Have faith in His Process. Have faith in His Word. He will bring the Promise to pass. Stand on His Word day and night.
