The Lord Our God Is OneSample
The Lord Our God Is One.
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:” Deuteronomy 6:4 KJV
Who is your Lord? Who is your family’s King? Who does your heart serve? Who is your heart tied to? Is your heart tied to the things of this world? Or does your heart crave and thirst after the things of Christ? Who are you serving? It’s your choice to either serve the True and Living God or the gods of this world. Entanglement is a choice.
When you are in Christ, you do not have to bow to the entanglements of sin. When you are in Christ, your heart does not have to be imprisoned by the false gods and treasures of this world. Choose to serve God. Choose to let your heart wholeheartedly serve God. Let your ways honor God both in private and in public. Let your heart wholly follow Him.
Deuteronomy 6:4 NLT declares, “Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone.” What’s your family’s declaration? Who does your family serve? God created the institution of the family. He is the Architect of the family. His desire was to craft mankind to give Him Glory.
When you surrender to His Way of doing things, He will strengthen you from the inside out. God wants to strengthen and build the walls of your family. When Christ is the bedrock of your family, He will rule every aspect of your life. Choose to submit to Him and let Christ transform the fabric of your home. Choose Christ.
Engage Christ in every area of your family. When Christ steers your home, He will not lead you astray. He will not cause you to shipwreck. When you surrender to God, no weapon that’s formed against your family will prosper. Christ holds your family in His Hands. Let the Blood of Jesus Christ shield, guide, and protect your family. Choose to serve God. Choose to let His Word lead and guide your family in every season of life.
