The Craving And The Cure: How To Align Your Dreams To God's DesiresSample

The Craving And The Cure: How To Align Your Dreams To God's Desires

DAY 7 OF 7

Day 7 - Repetition - Check in with my heart again.

On day one we looked at the Israelites and then posed a question for ourselves.  What do I really want/ crave from God?  After walking through each day of this plan, think about each of the questions posed:

What do I really want from God?

Do I want what God wants for me?

How do I know?

What is my motivation for this desire or craving?

Why don’t I have it now?

What do I have now that is better than what I want?

Now we have to ask again: What do I really want from God?  Will it bring me the nourishment of the miracle of Manna or the plague of a camp with quail?  Today submit your desires to the Lord and listen for His desires for you.  Embrace a posture of gratefulness for what you have, trusting that His plan is perfect.  Cravings seek to have us chase, but the cure is to chase after God fully.

Pray:  All-seeing God of heaven bring my desires into alignment with Your dreams for me.  Let me be thankful for all that You provide - seen and unseen, known and unknown.  Lord, remind me to come to You with my desires and cravings.  Quicken me to release that which will bring me harm and hold tightly to Your loving will for my life.  Walk with me always.  Bless me with a heart that wants what You want and loves what You love.  May what I crave most always be more of You!  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Day 6

About this Plan

The Craving And The Cure: How To Align Your Dreams To God's Desires

Have you ever wondered if the dreams that you have for your life mirror God's desires for your life? How do you know? Over the next seven days we will walk together to submit our dreams and cravings to God and listen for His response. As we walk through Numbers 11 we will hear the Israelites' desires, cravings, and wishes and listen for God’s answers, provision and dreams for His children then and for us now.
