Scriptures Of Hope

DAY 1 OF 3

Rehearsing Scripture in your mind enables the truth of the Word to abide deeply in your spirit. Take a moment each day to read, think about and apply the spiritual principles in the following Scriptures of Hope (World English Bible translation):

Read:

Deuteronomy 31:6

"Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you."

 - When God instructs us in this verse to not be afraid, it is not a suggestion. He doesn't say "you shouldn't," or "I understand you might be," - rather, He says: "Don't be afraid." The first step to kindling a spirit of hope within you is to banish fear and doubt. When it pops up within you, simply rebuke it in Jesus' name and do not entertain thoughts of fear.

Psalm 39:7

"Now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in you."

- Oftentimes, our hopes dwindle not due to anything tangible or real in our lives but due to our fears of what may happen or could take place. We "wait" for loss, rejection, ill health as if we expect it to come. How do we wait? We do so when we refuse to embrace joy, peace and celebration through a spirit of hope. Hope embodies a full belief that the good God promises for our futures will take place (Jeremiah 29:11). Let go of dread, embrace hope.
