Brave in showing hospitality
Being hospitable is brave. If you’ve ever had someone show up at your front door unexpectedly, you know exactly what I mean. I’ve held the door mostly closed and not invited someone in out of fear of being judged by the unfolded laundry on the couch and the dirty dishes in the sink. In all honesty, I’m afraid to admit how many times I have not been eager to practice hospitality. But as a woman of God, I’m called to operate not out of fear, but out of courage.
Romans 12:13 challenges us to “be ready to help” where there is a need. When someone has a need or shows up on our front porch, our faith should motivate us to courageously fling open the door and invite them in. Being brave in showing hospitality means not letting fear stop us from offering a helping hand. When we see a need, we should be the first ones stepping up eagerly to meet it. Brave hospitality is fearless. And living brave means living hospitably.
Lord, I am Yours. You extend radical hospitality to me, and I want to be like You, eager to extend radical hospitality to others. Thank You, Father, for opening my eyes to see opportunities where I can help someone in need. Give me the courage in Christ to offer hospitality bravely. Amen.

About this Plan
There isn’t a woman on this earth who doesn’t struggle with fear, doubt, and uncertainty. Yet, through His Word, God lovingly reminds us over and over again not to live our lives in fear. Instead, He commands us to be strong and courageous…maybe even fearless. Why? Because He is with us. Joshua 1:9
